    Reproduce the problem, find the root cause, not just the symptom that's visible.

    Changes made with backups and staging where possible, so the fix never creates a second problem.

    Tested across devices and the critical user paths (especially checkout) before it's called done.

    A short note on what caused it and how to avoid a repeat, or a care plan that makes it my problem, not yours.
