BEON
A Sydney-based store for extraordinary design brands, where the catalog gets out of the product's way.
The problem
BEON curates premium design brands from around the world, including Audo Copenhagen, HÅG, FINEX, SHUN and Balmain Hair, across furniture, dinnerware, tech, fragrance and styling.
Ten very different categories under one roof can easily turn into visual noise, where brands fight each other and an $18 plate looks out of place next to a $2,000 chair.
How we found it
Auditing the catalog showed how uneven it was: products with a single variant sitting beside ones with dozens of sizes and colours, sale states, from-pricing, and brand photography in every style.
A design that tried to add personality would compete with the products. The store needed to step back and let each brand's photography carry the weight.
How it was solved
A design that recedes
A restrained monochrome design language so every brand's imagery leads.
Catalog architecture
10+ category collections plus a brands index, so shoppers can browse by what they need or who made it.
Templates for every product type
Variant-heavy templates handling sizes, colours, from-pricing and sale states with the same polish.
Merchandising the team controls
Rotating featured and sale sections on the homepage that the team manages without a developer.
Built for search and Australia
SEO structure for brand and category landing pages; currency, shipping, Apple Pay and Google Pay set up for the Australian market.

Results and impact
A multi-brand store that feels like a single, considered shop. The design recedes, the products lead, and the team runs merchandising themselves.
