Shopify to WooCommerce
A full catalog migration from Shopify to WooCommerce, with images, pricing, variations and categories intact, avoiding an estimated 80 to 120 hours of manual data entry.
The problem
The retailer was moving its store from Shopify to WooCommerce. The catalog had hundreds of products, each with images, prices, descriptions, categories and variations.
Recreating them one by one would have taken weeks, and every manual copy is a chance for a wrong price, a missing variation or a broken image.
How we found it
The job wasn't really about moving files. It was about keeping structure: variations had to stay attached to the right products, images in the right order, and categories matching what customers already knew.
That meant treating the migration as a data job with a review step, not a copy-paste job.
How it was solved
Full product data transfer
Titles, descriptions, pricing, images, categories and variations moved from Shopify into WooCommerce.
Same catalog structure
The existing category structure recreated in WooCommerce, so returning customers found things where they expected them.
Review and cleanup
The migrated catalog checked for consistency after import, with gaps and formatting issues fixed before launch.
Rankings protected
Old Shopify URLs redirected to their new WooCommerce pages, so search traffic and bookmarks kept working.
Results and impact
Hours saved are an estimate based on manual entry time per product, not client analytics.
A platform switch without weeks of busywork or a half-finished catalog. The store opened on WooCommerce with its full range in place.
